Encounter Dating is committed to protecting the privacy of all our event guests and all our matchmaking members. We comply with applicable data protection laws when handling your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes the information collected by Encounter Dating and how the information is used and shared. Personal information refers to any personally identifiable information about you but does not include aggregate information that does not identify you specifically. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from or market to any persons under the age of 18.

What Information is Collected?

When you register with Encounter Dating, purchase a ticket to an Encounter Dating event, join an event waitlist or create a profile to use our matching platform Encounter Match we may collect your name and contact details (such as an email address and telephone number), age, suburb, your gender and any other information which you may voluntarily provide to us. If you do not provide us with all the information we request, we may not be able to provide our services to you.

To create and manage our events, sell tickets, send invitations and enable you to purchase tickets to our events we may use the services of a third party Eventbrite (eventbrite.com.au). You should read their Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before choosing to join and register with Encounter Dating. If you do not agree to their Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy you should not register with Encounter Dating. How is the Information Used?

We use your information for the following purposes:

1. to send you email and/or mobile text message invitations to our upcoming events,

2. to respond to and deliver your requests for services or information,

3. to improve our services and better understand your needs, including through customer feedback surveys,

4. to increase your awareness of our products and services,

5. to provide your photo and parts of your profile to potential matches,

6. to provide your preferred contact information to individuals with whom there is a mutual match or with whom you have agreed to meet,

7. to include you in advertising, marketing or promotional campaigns.

If you wish to cease receiving any such information by email you may unsubscribe by following the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of any of our email communications. If you wish to cease receiving any such information by mobile text message you may opt out by replying 'STOP' upon receipt of one of these text messages. You may delete your profile on Encounter Match at any time by clicking on 'Delete Account' in your profile.

 

Encounter Dating will seek your consent before using any personal information you have provided to us for any other purposes beyond the scope of your original consent.
