What type of Singles Events do you organise?

We run weekly speed dating events and singles dinners, and monthly singles parties and trivia nights.

How can I attend an event?

You can purchase tickets to any of our events from the Events page. You can also register for free to receive invitations to our upcoming singles events. Simply complete the online Registration Form and when we have an upcoming event that matches your interests, we'll send you a email invitation with details on how to purchase tickets.

What is Encounter Match?

Encounter Match is our event matching platform that allows you to match with ease by letting you discretely choose who you would like to see again after attending any of our events. We understand it’s not always easy or possible to ask for someone’s contact details at an event so we’ve created a platform to help you get in touch with anyone you felt a connection with. You get to choose which contact details you would like to share, either your mobile number or email, with any mutual matches you receive. After the event, log in to Encounter Match and select who you would like to see again. If they have also selected you, your preferred contact details will be shared with each other instantly on the My Matches page.

How do I use Encounter Match?

Encounter Match is designed to only be used by those who have attended one of our events. If you have purchased a ticket to an upcoming event, you can register to use Encounter Match by following the steps below:

1. Create your profile before attending the event here.

2. On the Events page, tap the ‘Request Access’ button next to the name of the event you’re attending.

3. After the event, log back in to Encounter Match and select who you would like to see again. If they have also selected you, your preferred contact details will be shared with each other instantly on the My Matches page.

You can add Encounter Match to your home screen for easy access. When you visit our site, simply select 'Add to Home Screen' in your browser.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do understand that personal commitments can change. Please email us at at least 48 hours prior to the event to receive a 12 month credit that can be used towards a future event up to the same value of your original purchase. If cancellations are made within 48 hours of the event you will only be issued with a credit if we have been able to fill your place.*

Can I transfer my ticket to a friend?

We offer free name transfers as long as your friend is of the same sex and within the specified age requirement for the event. Please email us at with your booking details and your friend’s full name, age and email address.*

What age groups do you cater to?

We run events for many different age groups from 20-70+. Each event has a specific age range and you must be within that range to be eligible to attend the event.

How strict are the age groups?

We allow guests to be outside of our recommended age brackets by a maximum of 1-2 years for some events and this will be specified in the event listing in the FAQs. Please bring photo ID with you in case we need to confirm your age.

How much does it cost to attend an event?

Our events usually range from $35-$65 + a booking fee depending on they type of event and what's included with your ticket.

What is a booking fee?

We use Eventbrite to manage our online ticketing and they charge a service fee on every ticket sold.


How can I pay for the event?

Ticket purchases are made through Eventbrite which accepts payment via all major credit cards. 

Do you accept door sales?

We do accept door sales if we still have spots available or if we've had any last minute cancellations.

What should I wear to an event?

Dress to impress - First impressions really do count! We recommend dressing up and wearing something that you would wear on a first date.

What should I bring with me to the event?

Please ensure you bring photo ID and either an electronic or printed copy of your ticket.

What happens if the event I want to attend is sold out?

Our events are popular and do sell out quickly, however you can join the waitlist and if a spot becomes available, you'll receive an email with a link to purchase a ticket. To join the waitlist, go to the Eventbrite listing for the event, select the 'Tickets' button and then click on 'Join Waitlist'.

Are any food and drinks included at the event?

Most of our events do include a welcome drink and some food. Please read the event details to see what is included. If you have any special dietary requirements, please contact us before the event and we will try our best to arrange an alternative option with the venue, however this may not always be possible.

Do many people attend by themselves?

Many of the guests at our events come by themselves as they don't always have a single friend available to bring along with them. You are actually more approachable when you are by yourself compared to being with a friend at a singles event.

What type of people go to your events?

Our events attract a lot of quality singles who are over online dating and are now wanting to meet singles in real life at fun social events outside of their usual group of friends and work colleagues.

What happens after the event?

Feel free to stay and chat with anyone that you would like to get to know better. We often have a private area reserved for mingling time after the event has ended.
