How can I attend an event?
It's free to register with us to receive invitations to our upcoming singles events. Simply complete the online Registration Form and when we have an upcoming event that matches your interests, we'll send you a private email invitation with details on how to purchase tickets. You can also view all of our upcoming events and purchase tickets at any time from the Events Page of our website.
What is Encounter Match?
Encounter Match is our matching platform that allows you to match with ease by letting you discretely choose who you would like to see again after attending an event. We understand it’s not always easy or possible to ask for someone’s contact details at an event so we’ve created a platform to help you get in touch with anyone you felt a connection with. You get to choose which contact details you would like to share, either your mobile number or email or both, with any mutual matches you receive.
How do I use Encounter Match?
Encounter Match is designed to only be used by those who have attended one of our events. If you have purchased a ticket to an upcoming event, you can register to use Encounter Match by following the steps below:
1. Create your profile before attending the event here.
2. On the Events page, tap the ‘Request Access’ button next to the name of the event you’re attending.
3. After the event, log back in to Encounter Match and select who you would like to see again. If they have also selected you, your preferred contact details will be shared with each other instantly on the My Matches page. You will have 24hrs to select your matches after the event.
What is your refund policy?
We do understand that personal commitments can change. Simply email us at at least 7 days prior to the event for a full refund. If cancellations are made within 7 days of the event you will be issued with a credit to use towards a future event up to the same value of your original purchase if we have been able to fill your place.*
How much does it cost to attend an event?
Our events usually range from $30-$60. The price is always listed on the Events page and also on any email invitations as well as what is included with your ticket.
Ticket purchases are made through Eventbrite which accepts payment via all major credit cards.
Do you accept door sales?
We do accept cash on the door if we still have spots available or if we've had any last minute cancellations.
We recommend dressing smart casual. Some of our venues may have their own dress codes that would also apply to our attendees.
Please ensure you bring photo ID and either an electronic or printed copy of your ticket.
What happens if the event I want to attend is sold out?
If the event has sold out, you can join the waitlist by selecting the 'Tickets' button and then 'Join Waitlist' in the Eventbrite listing for the event. If a spot does become available you'll receive an email with a link to purchase a ticket.
Some events do include food and alcohol (or soft drink). Please ensure you read the event details to see what is included. If you have any special dietary requirements please contact us before the event and we will try our best to arrange an alternative option with the venue, however this may not always be possible.
Our events attract a great mix of people who are tired of online dating and are now wanting to meet singles in real life at fun social events outside of their usual group of friends and work colleagues.
What happens after the event?
That‘s totally up to you! Feel free to stay and mingle at the venue for as long as you would like.
What if I meet someone that I like at one of your events?
We hope you meet several people that you like! You're free to ask for or hand out contact information on your own.
